Couples Shower

Our sweet dallas friends threw us a fabulous couples shower a few weekends ago. It was just the most thoughtful shower. It was perfectly planned for sweet Maddie girl. From the colors and decor to the food, it screamed Missy and Maddie (I know Andrew was there but I really dont think pink screams Andrew). It was more than I could have ever imagined! Everyone was so generous and sweet to show Maddie support! We love all our "aunts and uncles" in dallas. Maddie cant wait to meet everyone!

The baby pictures were such as sweet touch. Crazy how much Andrew and I look alike as babies. Gives me a good idea of what maddie will look like, I think?!?! You know never...somewhere in there could be brown hair and brown eyes. Haha, I would laugh! We shall see....in 5'ish weeks!

8 weeks, 3 days!

Not that anyone is counting! This picture was taken around 30-31 weeks and I can definitely say Ive grown since then. I think little Maddie girl is undergoing a growth spurt.
We have most the nursery complete...well I would say 70-75% complete. Just need curtains, a little wall decor, the chair (which is ordered but still waiting on delivery), and some other necessities....ok maybe its a little over 50% complete. Im using my white wicker furniture from my childhood. My dad graciously drove all the way from Nashville with the furniture a few weeks ago. Its nice to have a little peice of my childhood and my home in our home. Its sweet. I think Maddie will enjoy :)

Thursday marks 32 weeks. Im just a bit scared of what the next 8 weeks hold because Im getting a little uncomfortable-maybe it was the busy weekend-i dont know, guess we will see! We are so ready to meet you little Maddie!

Memorial Day Cookout

The Stewarts were so great to host a Memorial Day Cookout at their house but I didnt capture many pics. They had a great turnout with some our fabulous dallas friends. The Stewarts outdid themselves with some fabulous dips, sliders, burgers, desserts. YUM! I think I left 10 lbs heavier but Maddie sure did enjoy :)

Florida Reunion

Maddie and I traveled to Destin, Florida to see some college besties this past weekend. It was such a great weekend of catching up. Things with us just dont change--except growing bellies, kids, and the topics of our conversations. It was great to lay around catching up with everyone. These are the weekends I cherish! We got in thur and waited for others to arrive while lauren, laura, and i just relaxed by the pool at Rachels house. One by one our group came together in full by Friday. It was great to have us all together again. Friday we went to the beach and felt like old women while we loaded on our sunscreen and hats (this was not the case during our previous visits to florida in college). During the old days we would hit the beach at 9am with no sun screen and stay for hours. Well we just couldnt handle it this year and are way more cautious. You can just tell how wise we are getting. haha. Friday night we went to dinner near by in the wharf and we were pretty exhausted by the end of the night.

Saturday was the sweet shower day! Maddie definitely feels loved by all her distant aunts :)
This shower was great--relaxing, with our best friends, low key, in our pjs! Could I ask for anything more missy friendly?!? The girls fixed a brunch sat morning and we just munched and chatted before opening some sweet presents for Maddie girl!

Saturday night we went to V's Seagrove and had a little celebration for Julie's 30th! It was great food and such a fun atmosphere as we sat outside. It was perfect weather for the evening, couldnt have been any more perfect. 

Rounding out the 3rd trimester in Florida. Goodbye 27 weeks and hello third trimester. 

Im not quite ready for the 3rd trimester to dominate my life. haha. BUT-we are so ready to meet little maddie girl. We just cant wait! 

All in all-our weekend was fabulous. Thank you girls for making it such a special start to a fun season! It was just a perfect weekend-friends, weather, and all. Cant wait for next year! xoxo

Its A Girl!

So by now you pretty much know baby morgan is a girl! We asked the doc at our 12 wk sono what he thought it was and he said 98% sure it was a girl. I took that serious for about a week and then I realized how wrong he could be. I know i know--its so early and people have been told that before so i came back to reality and didnt really start planning for one gender or the other. Deep down we always thought it was a girl but I wasnt convinced.

Yes, I may have jumped the gun but I did do a gender reveal with the Morgan clan bc you know me-i cant keep my mouth shut! I did preface it that there could be a gender reveal party, part II a few weeks after this one.

And well...still 6-7 weeks later at our sono, SHE was still a girl!

We are both thrilled for a healthy baby girl and cant wait to meet her! Thursday April 12th marks the halfway mark!

We told the Morgans the name at the gender reveal and sticking to it. We have yet to tell the middle name. Update to come!

So far..we have Madeline Morgan--otherwise known as Maddie!

Andrews 30th

The BIG 3-0!

So this is about a month over due..exactly 1 month! We had a great time with some of our closest friends in dallas celebrating Andrews 30th, Grants 35th! :)

We just did burgers, hotdogs, beers (not for this mama, dont worry), and friends!
